Cancer Screening Stool Test

Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT)

ColonoscopyAssist understands that even at the discounted rate, a colonoscopy is not for everyone. As an alternative, the ColonoscopyAssist program offers a low cost colon cancer screening called a FIT test (a non-invasive stool that can be completed at home).

A high sensitivity FIT test is an approved method of screening in colorectal cancer screening guidelines published by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), American Cancer Society and the American Gastroenterological Association.

The screening is effective if performed yearly.
If you choose to perform this test, ColonoscopyAssist will mail you a kit with instructions. You will follow instructions to take the stool specimen needed and mail back the kit to our program.

The program processes the kit at a CLIA Licensed Laboratory and provides results and reports within 48 hours of receiving the specimen.

To learn more about the test visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
