What is the ColonoscopyAssist Program?
ColonoscopyAssist is a social program that promotes access to GI procedures such as EGD and Upper Endoscopy by offering the procedures at affordable, all-inclusive rates. Our rates are affordable and truly transparent. Scheduling is quick and simple with most persons receiving their procedures within 2 weeks. The organization was founded in 2010 and schedules procedures in 40+ states.

What does the flat-rate upper endoscopy cover?
Our flat rate includes everything related to the procedure, with no hidden fees. The price covers:

• Physician fees
• Facility or hospital fees
• Sedation or anesthesia costs
• Biopsy collection
• Pathology costs, including all lab and pathologist fees for any biopsies taken during the procedure

What’s not included in the flat rate?

• Consultations: If your provider requires a pre-consultation, it’s included in our flat rate. However, consultations are not typically needed for asymptomatic patients.
• Prep medicine: You’ll need to purchase any necessary preparation medicine separately.
• Follow-up care: Only the procedure itself is covered. Any treatment before or after the procedure is not included.
• Reference pathology or genetic testing: If abnormal tissues are found and further testing is needed, this is not part of the flat rate.

When do I need to pay?
Payment is due at least seven business days before your scheduled procedure. You’ll receive a payment link and instructions in your appointment confirmation email. You can view the various methods of payment accepted in our FAQ section.

Can I use my HSA/FSA account to help cover the cost of upper endoscopy?
Yes! We accept FSA/HSA debit card payments. Additionally, we will provide you with a statement for your records with the total cost paid for your upper endoscopy along with the relevant codes that you can submit to your FSA/HSA plan for reimbursement.

Will the price change after I book?
No. Our pricing is transparent and all-inclusive. The price you see is the final price—there are no surprise fees.

Can I schedule an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time through the program?
Yes. This is quite common, and doing both procedures at the same time results in a small cost savings compared to scheduling them separately.

You’ll be taken to a recovery area to wake up from sedation, which takes about 20-30 minutes. The team will review the results with you before you head home. Most patients resume normal activities the next day.

When will I get my results?
If abnormal areas are found and biopsies are taken, your doctor will send them for analysis. Results typically come back within a few days, and your doctor will schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss the findings. The cost of your upper endoscopy includes all results and analysis.

Will I need another upper endoscopy?
Your follow-up depends on the results. If abnormalities are found, another upper endoscopy may be recommended in the future based on your medical history and symptoms. If no concerning findings are discovered, a repeat procedure may not be necessary for several years.
